I n 1885 the married couple Albert and Anna Pauli bought a plot of land on Strandvägen , Djursholm, where the Villa Pauli stills stands today. Albert and Anna were extremely interested in art and allowed the new building to be adorned with beautiful paintings and works of art. The fundamentals at Villa Pauli when it comes to good taste and the love of art, were laid down by the couple. Another couple of enormous importance for art and Villa Pauli were Georg and Hanna Pauli who, at the start of the 20th century painted a unique painting inter alia in the ’al secco’ technique, on the theme of the four seasons.
