STOCKHOLM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE APPOINTS ANNA BRONZONI CATELLANI AS INSPECTOR / VALUER OF OLDER PAINTINGS
On 30 March 2007, Anna Bronzoni Catellani was appointed by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and entrusted with the responsibility and the legal right to inspect and value older paintings.
She has worked for many years with her primary focus on research, conservation and restoration of older paintings. Furthermore, Anna Bronzoni Catellani has received a Master’s degree in Art History. Her professional experience, academic background, and appointment to the inspectorship constitute a collection of competences that are unique in Sweden.
“I have worked with the inspection of paintings for many years and seen how artworks in their entirety are affected by the conditions in which they are kept. Not least, how the financial value can be affected by the surroundings and how preventative action can be taken to prevent it happening.”
“This appointment makes me even more enthusiastic about my future work”, says Anna Bronzoni Catellani, who is head curator of Ateljé Catellani, and whose main tasks are to inspect, conserve and restore older paintings.
She has worked as a painting conservator for over thirty years, and is responsible for the conservation of artwork in a number institutions and collections, including Karlberg Palace. She has earlier worked as the curator of the Modern Museum, the Maritime Museum among several.
